For families who have already built something
A different question for the next generation.

A family can transmit capital, assets, education and opportunity. But the ability to make decisions, understand risk, manage people, create value and recover from mistakes has to be experienced.

“Wealth can be inherited.
Experience cannot.”
THE SUCCESSOR · FOUNDER PROFILE
Entrepreneur.
Educator.
Operator.

A profile built through entrepreneurship, rigorous financial education, teaching and direct exposure to the realities of business in Switzerland.

The founder
Built from the other side of the table.

THE SUCCESSOR was created by an entrepreneur and educator who built his experience from the ground up. His path combines demanding financial education, entrepreneurship, teaching and years of direct exposure to customers, employees, operations and business owners.

His professional ecosystem now spans several dozen points of sale and a broad network across Switzerland. His experience covers accounting, finance, taxation, education, operations, payment systems, food & beverage, energy and real estate — giving THE SUCCESSOR a practical environment in which participants can observe how businesses work beyond the classroom.

The one-month experience
From understanding business
to actually building one.

Four intensive weeks to build the foundation — followed by structured follow-up as the venture enters the market and grows.

01

Understand

Accounting, financial statements, cash flow, costs, margins, budgets, management control, taxation and corporate structures.

02

Experience

Step into real operations: people, customers, stock, locations, logistics, decisions and the pressure of execution.

03

Build

Choose a problem, validate a market, design an offer, calculate economics, test demand and learn from feedback.

04

Incubate

Develop the project, refine the commercial model, test it in the market and connect with relevant people from the ecosystem.

05

Follow

After launch, structured follow-up continues: growth, customers, cash flow, margins, operations and strategic decisions, with decreasing frequency as autonomy increases.

WEEK 01

Financial foundations

Read a balance sheet and income statement. Understand cash flow, cost behaviour, margins, budgeting, management control, taxation, corporate structures and the financial consequences of decisions.

WEEK 02

Inside real business

Move from theory to operations: customers, employees, stock, suppliers, locations, logistics, sales, service, daily management and the decisions that keep a business moving.

WEEK 03

Build and validate

Identify a problem, define a customer, shape an offer, calculate costs and pricing, estimate margins, create a first prototype and put the idea in front of real people.

WEEK 04

Incubate the project

Turn learning into execution: refine the offer, improve the commercial process, measure feedback, make decisions, iterate and explore relevant introductions within the ecosystem.

The exact rhythm, project and level of exposure are defined after a private conversation with the family. The month is intentionally not sold as a standard package.

Start the conversation
Not a course. A month inside business.
The objective is not to impress them. It is to prepare them.
01

Financial fluency

Read the numbers behind a business and understand what decisions they should inform.

02

Operational reality

See what happens between a strategy, an employee, a customer, a supplier and the cash register.

03

Entrepreneurial judgment

Make decisions with incomplete information, measure the result and adapt.

04

Personal responsibility

Learn that ownership is not only a financial position. It is a daily responsibility toward people, capital and consequences.

THE REAL VALUE
Before they are trusted with a business worth millions, let them learn what it means to build one.

A future successor may one day be responsible for a company worth several million, tens of millions, hundreds of millions — or more. The cost of a serious mistake at that level can be very different from the cost of a mistake made on a smaller business they built themselves.

THE SUCCESSOR creates a controlled environment in which they can make those mistakes earlier, understand the consequences, correct them and build judgment before the stakes become enormous.

A strong CEO must understand the whole machine: administration, accounting, finance, taxation, legal questions, marketing, sales, logistics, operations, customer service, technology, management and strategy.

Participants build their own company and, where appropriate, wear the different hats themselves. They discover the value generated by every function — and what happens when one part of the machine fails.

Make your own mistakes

A real smaller business becomes a laboratory for judgment, resilience and consequence.

Understand every function

Experience the company from the inside rather than only from the shareholder's perspective.

Build optionality

Over time, the venture may be kept, automated, grown or eventually sold — while strengthening preparation for the family business.

The ecosystem
A learning environment connected to the real economy.

Participants can encounter different industries, business models and professional environments through the founder's existing ecosystem. Relevant introductions may be made according to the project's needs, availability and fit.

01

Customers

Learn to listen to the market, understand demand and test whether an idea creates real value.

02

Businesses

Observe operations across several activities and understand how businesses actually function day to day.

03

Institutions

Understand the professional and institutional environment surrounding Swiss entrepreneurship.

For parents
You are not buying a guarantee.
You are creating a stronger foundation.

No serious program can guarantee a child's future success. What THE SUCCESSOR can provide is structure, high standards, real exposure, close guidance and a demanding environment in which experience can be built safely before responsibility becomes unavoidable.

A private framework

Small-scale, highly personalized and designed around the participant's starting point and objectives.

Close guidance

Direct access to experienced guidance throughout the month, with practical feedback rather than abstract theory.

A real project

The month ends with something tangible: a tested idea, a clearer business model and a stronger understanding of what it takes to execute.

Questions parents ask
Before you decide.
Who is THE SUCCESSOR for?

For the next generation of entrepreneurial families, generally from adolescence through young adulthood, where the family wants to develop practical business judgment before greater responsibility arrives.

Is this academic tutoring?

No. Financial foundations are part of the program, but the experience extends into operations, entrepreneurship, customer development, decision-making and a real project.

Is the program confidential?

The program is private by design. Specific confidentiality arrangements and project boundaries can be discussed during the private conversation.

Can the program be adapted?

Yes. The intensity, starting level, project and relevant ecosystem exposure can be discussed during the admission process.

How do we begin?

Start with a private conversation. The purpose is to understand the family context, the participant and whether the experience is appropriate.

The next step
The website gives you the framework.
The conversation gives us the context.

Every family, every participant and every project is different. We therefore keep the final part private: understanding the participant, the family expectations, the appropriate level of intensity and whether THE SUCCESSOR is the right environment.

01 · Contact

Send an email to contact@theSuccessor.ch and briefly introduce the family and participant.

02 · Private conversation

Discuss objectives, starting point, expectations, timing and the appropriate format.

03 · Personalised plan

If there is a fit, the month is shaped around the participant and the project before anything is confirmed.

THE SUCCESSOR
Your family built something extraordinary.
What will the next generation build?

The first step is simple: start a private conversation. Tell us who the participant is, what you are looking for and what you would like them to experience.
